National Basketball League superstar LeBron James has been linked to the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and others, but his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, have the upper hand.
“This city, these fans…have given me a lot in these seven years,” James told CNN’s Larry King in an interview scheduled to air Friday. “I've got a lot of memories here. And — and so it does have an edge.
Asked directly if he is leaning toward Cleveland, the 25-year-old said “absolutely.”
The Cavaliers and James lost to the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoff’s Eastern Conference semifinals last month. The two-time league MVP averaged 39 minutes and nearly 30 points per game last season.
